Starting over

I have neglected this blog so badly I don't even know where I stopped. I believe I was going between Turbo Fire and something else. I guess I should have read my old posts to see where I even left off. Honestly, I just need to start over because so many things have changed, for the good, in my life I really can't fill it all in with just one post.

So I am now a Beachbody Coach. I have 2 coaches under me who are doing so amazingly well, they are keeping me going. It's amazing how you can have intensions on motivated someone, then in turn they end up motivating you. How incredible is that. I have made the commitment that I will never ask anyone of my members, coaches, followers, team to do something or make a life change that I wouldn't do myself.

I have also started a private support group through FB. That started off incredibly slow and I was really worried it would never progress. I started with just 3 of us, today I'm up to 8 I believe. The best part of this is, I'm changing and so are they. They are communicated with each other and supporting each other. It's absolutely so much more than I could have ever imagined. I feel so lucky.

After having some problems staying with TF, it's very high intensity, I realized I'm more of a weight training person versus a cardio person. Don't get me wrong, cardio is very important, but I find I do better with weight training. I'm sure everyone has heard of the saying "muscle burns fat". Well, that is a statement I live by. See my goal is to tone up everything I've lost. I want to burn the excess fat my body is holding onto. To do that, I need to build lean muscle. Now get out of your head that you will bulk up by building muscle. Do you know how hard it is to actually bulk up as a woman? Well if not, you seriously need to read about body building woman, their training, how many supplements they take and how much they have to eat. Let alone how much work it is. Our bodies as woman do not have the correct amount of testisterone (sp?) to build muscle so most women who are body builders have to take stuff to correct that. My point, it's not that easy. Lean muscle gives women that beautiful cut and lean, tight, strong look. I think it's sexy, that's what I'm going for hehehe;).

With that being said, I've decided to go back to ChaLEAN Extreme for some fat burning weight training. Funny part is, shortly after I started her Lean For Life schedule, I found out several of my friends and even a couple of my team mates were starting it. So to go along with everyone else and kind of make it a group thing, I decided to just start it all over from scratch. I figured the more of us doing the same program, the more accountability for each person.

Chalene Johnson is my absolute favorite trainer. I love her programs. My 2 favorite of all are Turbo Jam, it's basically a beginner version of Turbo Fire, and ChaLEAN Extreme. Turbo Jam is cardio but it's fun cardio with short bouts of high intensity. I was able to learn the moves pretty quickly and loved it. I actually did it for an entire month, loved it and actually started seeing some results from it. ChaLEAN Extreme is a combo of weight training and cardio. I love how she becomes your own personal trainer. As you are doing the movement, she is telling you how to know you are doing it right. She tells you where you should be feeling the movement and how to check your form. My favorite part of the weight training program is she has slow methodical moves. You are using nothing but pure muscle to move the weights. I can actually see the particular muscle I am working move as I do the movement. It's amazing. This is where my arms and legs are really getting toned. I love it.

Because of my husband's new, luckily, temporary job schedule change, I'm having to change some things around a little. This morning was very different and off kelter. One thing I've learned about obstacles is, you can either tuck your tail under and just walk away feeling failed or you can grow, get stronger and fight back to find away around it. Every time I get through a hurdle or obstacle in my life, it makes me stronger. I like being stronger, I love the feeling of accomplishment especially when I have to work for it. I really enjoy working out to my dvds way up loud, I also tend to get very loud while I'm working out. There is something about screaming while lifting weights that just makes me feel better :). Don't ask. But because our bedroom is right next to the living room where I workout, I can't have the t.v. that loud. At first I thought, great how in the world am I going to workout now. I can NOT workout when my kids are home, I need to concentrate. I don't like to stop in the middle, I lose my mojo. So I have to figure out a way to workout in the mornings. This morning I just decided, I can deal with working out without the t.v. being so loud. I just have to. So I did, it wasn't that bad. I was concentrating so hard on what I was doing I really didnt' notice it. I was very proud of myself and felt great about my accompliment. Again, overcoming an obstacle made me stronger and realize I can do this. I just have to be determined. The other issue was getting online to FB with my team. How was I going to check on them and give them my status? I was afraid to come in our bedroom where my computer is. I was afraid I would wake him up with all the clicking on my keyboard. So I didn't use my computer. I tried his work stuff, phone & tablet. Fail, they all have passwords. Once he woke up he told me there is an extra laptop downstairs I could use. YAY!! Another way around an obstacle.

I am much stronger than I think I am some times. Now that's success. That feels amazing.
